Childcare – Berlin Prenzlauer Berg
Coworking Toddler Prenzlauer Berg – Kita & Coworking in the Heart of Pankow
At Greifenhagener Straße 48, we care for a small, family-like group of children aged 1 to 6. The close connection between our Kita and the adjoining coworking space creates a clear, well-functioning framework for families in urban Prenzlauer Berg.
A Small Kita with a Strong Sense of Community
Our Kita accommodates 17 children from diverse cultural backgrounds. The rooms are bright, clearly structured, and designed specifically for the needs of a small group. Directly connected to the building is our private outdoor area — a compact urban discovery garden for movement and early nature experiences right in the heart of the city.
The neighborhood allows for short distances: playgrounds, parks, and quiet side streets are only a few minutes away. Walks, small outings, and indoor sports sessions are part of our weekly rhythm.
Pedagogy: Attachment-Based, Individual, and Movement-Oriented
We follow an attachment- and needs-oriented approach, complemented by two pedagogical foundations:
Pikler–Hengstenberg
for natural motor development, independent movement, and confident explorationMontessori-inspired elements
to foster concentration, responsibility, and self-directed learning moments
In our small group structure, stable relationships, clear routines, and plenty of space for free play naturally evolve — forming the basis for healthy, independent development.
Languages & Community: German–English in Everyday Intercultural Life
Our team works bilingually (German/English) and accompanies the children through all daily situations. Language emerges naturally — through routines, conversations, songs, and shared play.
The Kita thrives on a warm, international parent-child community. Families bring different cultural backgrounds, languages, and experiences, which enrich daily life:
Children experience different ways of living as something natural
Multilingual development is supported intuitively
Social openness and curiosity grow from everyday interactions
This intimate group setting creates a personal and intercultural atmosphere that strongly shapes our Prenzlauer Berg location.
Nutrition: Fresh, Organic, Child-Friendly
All meals are delivered fresh each day — in organic quality, and vegetarian on request. Children eat in small, familiar groups with clear routines.
Parent Proximity: Kita and Workspace Side by Side
The direct connection between the Kita and coworking space allows parents to work with focus while staying close to their child.
This proximity supports:
A gentle settling-in period
Calm transitions throughout the day
Direct, reliable communication
Coworking Space: Quiet, Family-Friendly Working Environment
Our coworking area offers a calm, productive workspace right next to the Kita:
High-speed Wi-Fi
Meeting room
Phone booth
Lockers
Coffee, tea & fruit included
The parent community is small, international, and open — exchange, support, and connections develop naturally.
